Hi all,

I'm just after some clarification about the procedure for changing the owner/registrant of a .au domain name (that's already registered with Jumba/AussieHQ). I haven't been able to find anything on your website about the correct procedure and/or any fees that may be involved.

I spoke to someone at phone support this morning (who shall remain nameless for the moment) advising that an email to support from the current registrants address (including copies of the current business registration and ABN registration) would be sufficient. They said the current registrant could nominate the new registrant and no fees would be imposed. Having said this, they sounded very unsure of what they were saying. Can anyone provide any clarification?

Note: By 'change of registrant' I'm referring to the business and ABN of the organisation who owns the domain name, not the registrant contact.

Any advice appreciated.

Cheers,
Jack.

Hi all,

I've noticed that since the cPanel upgrade a few weeks ago, my custom cPanel theme for my Reseller Account isn't functioning properly. At first I thought it may have been incompatible, so I built a new theme from scratch using the Branding Editor and I'm still getting the same issues. Here's what's going on...

Although the Branding Editor correctly renders the custom headers/backgrounds that I've uploaded (when inside the editor), these custom images aren't displayed when the theme is applied to the account (it still uses the 'root' theme images instead). The only bit of my custom theme that does display as expected is the custom CSS (to change the background color), so I effectively have the default skin with a blue background (as opposed to the classic off-white that you get with the root theme).

I figured I'd get around this by physically replacing the theme PNG's in the Branding Editor directory of my FTP and, while this works, it only lasts for somewhere between 6 and 12 hours before the custom images I've manually uploaded get 'reset' to the default root images.

Thinking I'd be clever, I replaced the default root theme images with my own custom ones. Like the manual upload to my own theme, this works for a short period of time before getting 'reset' to the default images again. Damn.

I'm not entirely sure what's going on here, but I'm very curious to see if anyone else has run into these issues since the upgrade and, more importantly, if anyone has any suggestions on how they may be fixed?

Domain/account details can be provided if that helps.

Cheers,
Jack

Hi,

I have an interesting problem.

I tried to give one subdomain an IP because this subdomain is hosted in the USA.

After activating my DNS via domains.jumba.com.au, I can't access my cpanel using my main domain anymore. (Thank God it doesn't have any impact on my email).

I managed to dig out some old info from my emails and regained access to my cpanel using http://juXXXXXX.syd.the-server.com.au.

I wasn't warned of this side-effect but it's kind of understandable. I just want to confirm this is normal and I will receive my email as normal. Or there is a way to have my cake and eat it too (ie have cpanel.mydomain.com.au again).

Cheers.

:baffled:
As i have never had any issue with the hosting or the site,I have never had any reason to
look at the usage of the site. However today when i loaded up my homepage I see that i have used up my 25gig
of bandwith for the month....Not good..
After looking at the usage for the site i see that the last 2 months usage March 24gig April exceeded limit..
Looking into the last year of STATS i see the sites usual bandwith is around the 10gig mark...Thats a massive increase of Bandwith over 60 days.

I am no web designer or programmer but i do know its not possible for the site to use that much bandwith in 30/1 days.
Any insight to what i need to be looking for would be a great help...

Cheers

Hi,

Just looking at the service advisory board I can see that at 8:29 a post was made saying that the servers are being restarted, giving the indication that we may be up and running again within the hour.

However shortly after that at 8:37 it says that an ETA will be advised ASAP, but they are expecting to have to wait an hour before they can advise of an ETA.

I was just wondering if this latest post (at 8:37) trumps the one at 8:29. (ie - if additional issues have been found, and we should no longer expect a resolution within the next hour)?

Thanks & Regards

I have several domains registered with Jumba and would like to renew some of them but there is some issue with pricing.

For example, for .com.au domain it shows that renewal amount would be $29.95 while your website says http://www.jumba.com.au/domains that current price is $20.
Same for .com domain it shows that renewal amount would be $14.95 while your website says http://www.jumba.com.au/domains that current price is $11.

It does not seem fair. Why should I pay the price that was 2 or 3 years ago? I would expect to pay the current price which is $20 for .com.au domain and $11 for .com domain.

Can this be resolved? Otherwise I would consider transferring my domains elsewhere.

Just something i want to try and clear up and wonder if anyone can help with this.
Does SEO operate on a single market basis, i.e. a UK site will only SEO well for the UK market, or does it capture many markets simultaneously.
If it is the case that SEO works primarily on a single market basis, what is the best approach to make it, 'multi-market'?
Finally does anyone know how it determined that a site is a UK site or US site?

I have a client that wishes to show the traffic to their site to potential sponsors. What is the best way to do this? I found the php script that has been written and last update was 2008, or is there a better way? So I would have the website with a "Site Statistics" link that would show the relevant info.

Suggestions please?
